Catography – Terms of Service

Welcome to Catography! By accessing or using our web application ("App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Use of the App

Catography allows users to upload and view geolocated images on a shared map. You agree to use the App in a lawful manner and in accordance with these Terms.

2. Account Registration

You may create an account via Supabase using email (OTP), Google, or Facebook login. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.

3. Content Ownership & License

You retain full ownership of any content you upload to the App. By uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, reproduce, and distribute your content within the App, solely for the purpose of providing the service.

4. Content Guidelines & Moderation

You agree not to upload content that:

• Is illegal or infringes on the rights of others
• Is hateful, explicit, threatening, or harassing
• Contains spam, malware, or misleading metadata

We reserve the right to remove any content or suspend any account that violates these Terms or applicable laws. You may report abusive content by contacting us.

5. Availability

While we strive to keep the App running smoothly, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free performance. We may suspend the App temporarily for maintenance or updates.

6. Intellectual Property

All Catography branding, interface elements, and codebase (excluding user content) are our intellectual property. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, or redistribute any part of the App without express written permission.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account at any time, particularly if you violate these Terms or misuse the App.

8. Disclaimer

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for the accuracy, legality, or reliability of user-generated content, nor for interruptions caused by third-party services like Supabase.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim any liability for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of France, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the French courts.

11. Privacy & Cookies

We only use cookies essential for authentication and security purposes. For details, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. Updates will be posted here and are effective upon publication. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
