What's Coming
Here's a non-exhaustive list of upcoming features and ideas planned for Catography:
Profiles & Gamification — Introduce user ranks, badges, and an improved personal dashboard.
Catstagram — Expand the social feed with Instagram-like features tailored for cats: filters, captions, likes, and tags.
Advanced Search — Add a powerful search feature to find cats by name, breed, color, distance, and date range, with filters for more precise results.
Authentication — Add support for more login providers.
Social Features — Enable conversations and interactions between users.
Cat Recognition — Upload a photo of your cat and check if it's been spotted on the map or in the database (a challenging but exciting feature!).
Mobile App — If the platform gains traction, we’ll launch a dedicated mobile app.
Social Sharing — Allow users to share cat posts or profiles directly to social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, or X.
Missing or Deceased Cats — Allow users to report sightings of potentially deceased cats (with optional photo and respectful blur/filter) to help identify and notify owners.
